hi, guyz can i ask whethef it is possible for me to register as a civil engineer PR Technician if i don’t have a design exposure. for example, where i work, i only deal with project management. your advice would higly appreciated.

Yes. Outcome 2 out of the eleven professional competence outcomes emphasise the ability to “design or develop solutions to complex engineering problems.” Design serves as one of the approaches for delivering these solutions.

hi all. I am based in Eswatini I would like to register PR technician. I have a complete report. however all the clients I have worked with and supervisors non are registerd PR therefore my report has no refreee. I’m looking for advice and or suggestions. any assistance or advice will be appreciated

It’s important to note that the application encompasses more than just the Engineering Report (ER).

What sector you are employed in has little or no bearing on your registrability.The 11
outcomes must be met in order for you to achieve registration. One must look at the
competencies given in R-02-PE/PT/PN and the guide given in R-08-PE/PT/PN.

Does ECSA recognise experience obtained outside the Country?

Yes. The supervisors signing off your TERs should be preferably professionally
registered practitioners and should give their qualifications, registration and
professional memberships where possible.
